BOOKING
All seats are filled on a first-come/first serve basis and are strictly limited. No seats will be held without the minimum deposit and receipt of a reservation form unless prior arrangements are made. We reserve the right to refuse anyone from joining the tour, even if space is available.

There is a check box on the reservation form that indicates you have read our policies page regarding booking, cancellation and participant expectations. If you are unable to view them online, a paper copy can be provided for you. Checking that box indicates not just reading of the policies, but that you agree to abide by them. If you have specific concerns, health, ability to participate, please ask them before signing up. Once reservation is confirmed, all participants are subject to the cancellation policy. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if we discover something that prevents you from following our participant guideline. Not abiding by policies or omitting important information at time of reservation will result in removal from the tour at your own expense.

We do not discriminate. We will work with anyone with handicaps to try to enable them to join the tour. We have had several handicapped participants over the years. You may however be unable to participate in some activities, and no refunds for those activities will be provided. Some tours are appropriate for children to join, some are not. Please inform us before signing up if you would like to bring children under 18 with you.

Cost of the tour will be split into even monthly payments. An invoice will be sent when deposit and reservation form are received. It will contain the expected amount due monthly along with the due date. If for some reason you are unable to follow that payment schedule, approval for an alternate schedule must be approved. All payments, deposit and otherwise, are non-refundable as we are immediately turning that money over to airlines, hotels, bus companies etc. Submitting a reservation form is a commitment to pay your tour price. Should you decide to cancel, you are responsible for payment of the cancellation fee listed in our cancellation policy. Any needed tourism visas for our destinations is the responsibility of the participant. Please check if you need any. We are not responsible if you are refused entry to the destination country on arrival or US customs on departure.

In the case where a hotel may have limited numbers of scenic view rooms, room assignment will be based on the order of deposits by date received. There is an additional charge for a single supplement as charged by the hotels. There are a limited number of these and they will be reserved in order of deposit. Some hotels may offer family rooms. Due to occupancy regulations in Ireland, there are age limits on what constitutes a child sharing a room. Please understand that is out of our control. If the hotel cannot accommodate a family in a family room, there may be additional cost for a second room. There may be a minimum number of participants for the tour to go at listed price. If extra people sign up, we put any extra money towards additional experiences for the tour.

Sometimes delays happen or changes must be made. Lisa Carbrey, Celtic Scenes Tours and Foyle Coaches are not responsible for any delays, losses, damages or injuries that may occur during tour and any extra costs resulting from those..

Participant Expectations
Tour participant expectations include (but are not limited to):
1. Have all necessary documentation to travel to our destinations (passport, visas….)
2. Ability to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time in all types of weather on unpaved, uneven surfaces and climb stairs. We try to drop off as close to hotels and attractions as possible, but traffic restrictions may mean a short walk. Different activities during the tour will require you to on your feet for up to a couple of hours. Surfaces can be uneven and unpaved at times. We also try to be centrally located in towns so this can mean walking to your dining choice. We do not cancel plans based on weather (if it didn’t rain, how would it be the emerald isle?)
3. Ability to manage your own luggage from the coach to/from your room. Most hotels have lifts but it is not guaranteed. Use of porters at hotels generally means you end up waiting for your bags to be delivered to your room, which depending on how busy they are, can be a while. It also means on day of checkout you are asked to have your bags outside the door for pickup way ahead of departure. Due to this we ask that everyone get their own luggage to/from the coach.
4. We do not guarantee restroom facilities on our coaches. While it is possible that we may have a coach with a restroom, we do not offer any guarantees. Our tours generally depart the hotel around 8:30-9:00 am on touring days, and can be significantly earlier getting to the airport to fly home. Most days of touring we leave the hotel in the morning and it may be a couple of hours before arriving at our first destination. Our touring normally doesn’t allow time for multiple rest stops on the way to a destination. Yes there will sometimes be an emergency need and we will do our best to resolve it, but understand that it might take some time to find a suitable facility.
5. Are you a go with the flow kind of person? We do our best to keep people happy and having fun. However, since we are a group, plans are made to make the majority happy. Those plans are normally made months in advance and group tours need to be prearranged everywhere we go. So please understand if we can’t accommodate your individual request during the tour.
6. If you are not interested in something we have planned, please let us know ahead of time. Often you can find a café to wait for us or if it’s a whole day’s touring, as long as we aren’t moving from hotel to hotel on the day, you are welcome to skip the day’s touring. Again, please let us know ahead of time.
7. We do our best to book the best hotels. While we always request rooms that are away from the bar, and quieter, sometimes there is noise. It can be unavoidable especially if our destination is in a city. You are expected, within reason, to be able to stay in a room that is possibly noisy, may have no or inadequate air conditioning or poor or no Wi-Fi in the rooms.
8. Staying on schedule- Our schedule is made months in advance of the tour. As a group we have promised to be places at certain times. Please be prompt when meeting the group. If we are late arriving, we may be turned away. So one person being late can mean the whole group misses out on something. Hotels all have wake up calls. If you are concerned, ask a buddy to make sure you are awake or heading to the coach. We don’t want to have to leave you behind! Anyone left behind will be on their own to find transportation to catch up to us or accommodations at their own expense.
9. Eating/drinking on the coach-We are lucky to be provided with very new if not brand new coaches for our tours. We'd like this to continue. So please we ask you to clean up after yourself every day. Bring your trash off with you at the end of each day's touring. Be considerate at what you bring on the coach to snack on or drink. Think would you want someone to bring this into my car or office? Like greasy paper with fish and chips in it isn't the best choice.
10. Bottles of water-We normally try to provide bottles of water for a €1 or £1 donation. Feel free to help yourself to these, and if you don't have the change, just put it in the next day.
11. Alcohol on the coach-I'm sorry but no open alcohol is allowed on the coach.
12. Personal items- It's fine to leave items on the coach during the day, it will always be locked when we make stops. However at night, remove all of your personal items and bring them into the hotel with you each night. Don't leave any of them on the coach overnight.
13. Photographs- Many photographs will be taken during the tour. You may be in a picture even without your knowledge. By joining the group you give your consent to be photographed and allow the photos to be shared on social media, web pages and in future tour advertising. Any photographs with people in them cannot be sold without consent of those people. If you are going to share an image, please be mindful of what you share, do not share any images that you wouldn’t want shared if roles were reversed. Never share images of children or tag people without their consent.
14. No grumps! - Everyone has a bad day or may not enjoy the current activity. We ask that you please keep these things to yourself and let others enjoy themselves. Be mindful of language and jokes. We ask that political conversations be left at home.
15. Safety and enjoyment of the group- While we want everyone to have a good time and have fun, please be mindful of others.
16. On the coach, our guide often has things to tell us that are of interest or important. If you prefer to chat or nap, we ask that you sit in the rear area of the coach, and keep conversations at a low volume so others who are interested are able to hear. When we stop or board the coach, our drive, guide or tour staff will be providing important information for you. Please listen and allow others to listen as well. If you haven’t heard the information please ask as you exit the coach. Often we have a limited time to drop off or pick up in a location. We ask you to exit/board the coach quickly and orderly. If you know you need to change your shoes or put your phone away etc. please do that before we stop.
17. If you behave in a way that risks the group’s safety, is illegal or disrupts the tour, we have the exclusive right and discretion to expel you from the tour at your own expense. We will do our best to resolve the issue first, but know that we cannot allow such behavior during the tour.
